Zero FEe Membership Renewals – What’s the deal for 2023?
Attention – RAID professional members the annual renewals on our website are now live. As you are aware there are some minimum prerequisites for Divemasters, Instructors, and Dive Centers. Simply log-in to your RAID profile and follow the quick-easy renewal process.
When you see this – RAID UK will renew you! It’s also worth mentioning that RRO is a RAID Regional Office – in this case, RAID UK.
This document is designed to help deal with additional questions from renewing RAID pros and encourage non-RAID pros to make an inquiry about joining us too!

When the Divemaster, Instructor, or Dive Centre log into their profile it will tell them how many days they have before they need to renew.
If do choose not to renew before 1st January 2023 it won’t be a problem, you can still use the sites as normal.
After the 1st of January 2023, you won’t be able to continue without clicking on the renewal button and following the prompts. Instructors and Divemasters that don’t meet the renewal criteria will be prompted to purchase the online update course:
The only payment option is via a credit card on the website. (These figure are subject to VAT where applicable)

Pro Renewal Instructor
Clicking the renewal button will show you how many certifications you have done. See the example below:
If the instructor has done the required 5 courses, excluding the Try Dive, it will request the medical be completed.
If the Instructor has not done the required five (5) courses they will be prompted to complete their medical and then purchase the online renewal. When this course has been purchased and completed the system will send the renewal email to the RRO.

If the instructor has done the required 5 courses, excluding the Try Dive, it will request the medical be completed.
If the Instructor has not done the required five (5) courses they will be prompted to complete their medical and then purchase the online renewal. When this course has been purchased and completed the system will send the renewal email to the RRO.
RSTC Medicals
We will accept this RSTC medical form that the system generates as a valid in-date (self-assessment) medical, as long as the Instructor does not have any yes’s marked on the medical). If the Instructors mark a yes, the system will still allow renewal but will include an email to the RRO that they now require a (non-self-assessment) medical to be on file. In the UK – HSE Medicals are required for all pros teaching ( for money in the UK ) – these should be loaded onto the system as the non-self assessmet to support any “yes” that are marked.
All HSE medicals or any other non-self-assessment should be retained (seven years) by all pros within their own record keeping as well, regardless of what is uploaded to the RAID system.

After the Instructor has renewed, the RRO in charge of the area they chose their Dive Centre under will automatically get an email prompting them to renew that Instructor.
The below message will remain on the Instructors profile until such time as the RRO has renewed their profile.
Recent Cross-Over Instructors
Instructors that have crossed over after the 1st of October 2022 and haven’t fulfilled the requirement for Zero FEe Membership by the 31st of December 2022 can apply for exemption for the Free renewal via their RRO by uploading files via this button.
The email will go to the RRO with the renewal link taking the RRO to the Instructors profile. Where the RRO will see the uploaded documents and they can make a decision about whether the recent crossover (X0) instructor is eligible to be renewed.
Divemaster Renewals
Divemasters will have the same message on their page as instructors but the system will be counting their dives logged on the RAID online logbook and their Try dive courses.
If they don’t fulfill these criteria they will be prompted to purchase the Update Course. $70
The process for Divemaster renewals will be identical to the process for instructors.

Dive Centre Renewals
Dive centres will be prompted to renew upon login, If they choose not to renew before 1 January 2023 it won’t be a problem, they can still use the sites as normal.
When they are required to renew on 1st January 2023 they won’t be able to continue without clicking on the renewal button and following the prompts.
All dive centres will be required to upload a photo/screenshot of the RAID Logo prominently displayed on their website or scocial media page. They will not be allowed to proceed with the renewal without uploading a document. The RRO will be required to confirm the photo/s are confirming standards are being met.
The following message will remain on the dive centres profile until such time as the RRO has renewed their profile.
